Maine Coon Registries
TICA - The International Cat Association
Megacoon has been a member of The International Cat Association since 1995, TICA cattery since 1995, TICA outstanding cattery-- 10 consecutive years and has never been anything but outstanding since it was founded.
CFA - The Cat Fanciers' Association
Megacoon no longer uses Cat Fanciers' Association as a breed standard due to the two registries having a total different look to the breed.
TICA has a more feral look and larger boning and a larger cat and CFA has a soft sweet look with lighter boning. They are so drastically different. Megacoon cats are world class quality in TICA shows; (have had many regional, national and international winners in TICA) but, would not be in any manner competitive at CFA shows.
